Master Thesis Project Kunsthøgskolen i Olso - 2023

My master’s graduation project, which won scholarship from Fondet for Kunst og Designstudenter, explores and deconstructs the spectacle-comfort assemblage which takes over human corporeality and attention. It underlines how mechanisms of control and surveillance infuse into our everyday domestic habits. I developed a pseudo furniture which subverts the conditions of this seat-screen machine. Users of this artefact are positioned in uncomfortable positions and see each other through a view tunnel and through reflections. This prototype offers an alternative for the assemblage of human bodies with each other and with external devices.
